Two legs or six: dec-ANT-structing social behavior
The "Künstlerische Tatsachen" (KT) offers the opportunity to establish collaborations between scientists and artists. This year, three scientists -Veit Grabe, Zimai Li and Baptiste Piqueret- from the Max-Planck Institut for Chemical Ecology (Jena) collaborated with the artist Kathrin Hunze.
The result of their exchange is the multi-media installation "Two legs or six: dec-ANT-structing social behavior" which delves into the mechanisms and networks of social behavior within the context of human-machine interactions, by researching parallels between the clonal raider ant and human structures.
